While Columbia has a better program and name I am leaning to Ohio State for couple reasons. Ohio State is in a college city whereas Columbia is in New York and not coming from a big city I don’t know how I would adjust in a big city. Two Columbia seems to be too competitive and does not have as much resources as Ohio State (which has tutoring sessions). Three from others who went to Columbia I found out that its much better to get a good GPA (3.4 and up) at a well known public university than to go to an Ivy league school and get average or above average grades.
